Here I tell you a little of my computers. Maybe you can pick some useful hints from here, for making your own PC...

It based Abit's Nf7-S v2.0 motherboard  with

AMD XP 3200+ Processor (400FSB)

Memory 1024MB, 2 piece TwinMOSS PC3200 512MB DDR 400 (DIMM)

3 Hard Disks

2 Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 80GB Serial ATA150 with RAID 0

1 Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 9 120GB ATA133

Samsung CD-ROM SCR 3231

Lite-On DVDRW LDW-411S

Gigabyte R9700 Pro (ATI Radeon) graphics accelerator

Other stuff: Asus P7131 Dual TV-card, Cable Modem (2MBit/s), Logitech WingMan joystick (for IL-2 Sturmovik Forgotten Battles), Flatbed scanner, HP Deskjet 5652 printer, 21" Eizo F77S monitor. Logitech Z3 speaker system. Most of this sites pictures are taken with Casio Exilim EX-Z3.

Surprise, that all works together ...

Several years ago I warm up idea, to over clocking my computer, and of course it warm up too and the system heat raised up. So I had to think something to keep my system cool. I decide to obtain 3 cooler fan, one 120mm front of case to blow cool air in case at the same time it cools the hard disks, one 80mm top on the case to blow hot air out from case and one 120mm is for cool to radiator (That radiator is car industry of Russian's gift to over clockers, it's from Lada) Besides I build up voltage controller wherewith can adjust the fan voltages step less, and power switches to each fans.

The heart of my water cooler system is this "little China", I really don't know this oddity's original purpose. Many thanks to Timo from this gift, it still works. That "little China" pumps water in copper pipe via PVC hose pipe to CPU's copper block, and move hot water forward to radiator, wherefrom it run into PVC hose pipe / other copper pipe back to water tank, and so on.

That cooling solution reduce the CPU's temperature about 15 degrees and it is really noiseless. Other modification for decrease noise is hang separately the hard disks from the case, no more HDD resonate. Also I replaced the motherboard's north bridge fan at Zalman's heatsink and the Radeon's original fan and heatsink replaced at Zalman's heatsink with heat pipe. There is added sound reduction sheet inside the case and the power supply changed at Nexus silent power 350W.

In normal use it don't need to use those additional coolers at all. Then the PC is really silent, only the power supply's fan slightly humming when listen very attentively.

By this construction I consider to manage for some time, until they are generally developed 64Bits programs with in working condition.

My outdoor use solution

A year ago I get my first laptop computer. It is Fujitsu-Siemens AMILO L6820 with Intel P4 2.4GHz / Memory DDR 512Mb / HDD 40Gt / CD/DVD RW. This really isn't quite latest technology, but fill well it's place for my outdoor use.

In this Amilo model is not built in infra red receiver, so I had to get it (USB to IrDA) as the accessory to the USB channel. As the modem I now days use Nokia N 70. On this to GPRS base on construction, I can get Internet connection all over in Finland.

WLAN

After we had moved to the new larger apartment, I'd no longer wanted to pull wires between rooms. So I decided to build to the cordless home network system. After few enquiry and recommendation what I got (Thanks for that to Tomi), I decided to arrange Buffalo home network with AOSS WLAN security, which had also succeeded in test of the Finnish It-media.

And so I put to on the purchase list those Buffalo's:

54 Mbps* Wireless Cable / DSL Router with AOSS Support.

54Mbps* Wireless USB 2.0 Keychain Adapter,

for my desktop.

54 Mbps* Wireless CardBus Adapter,

for my laptop.

After the couple week use I must reveal, that Buffalo really redeems all my expectation from cordless home network. The products was easy to install and all they function immediately after the connection. I can only to recommend these devices to all who considering to cordless home network.

...

Few visual update for my desktop. I change the 9700Pro to ATI's X800XT All-In-Wonder (By Connect 3D) graphics accelerator. Also that old awkward CRT monitor got to avoid from under this new Samsung TFT display.

Year 2007 is being stopped in Finnish analogs TV delivery, and so I get that Yakumo QuickStick Basic DVB-T for me to ensure that I can watch European song competitions in future. Does someone remember yet Lordi.

When I exchange XP Pro to Vista Ultimate 32 operating system stop the Buffalo's (Bad reputation to them) keychain USB adaptor function, they haven't had still offer any kind of Vista drivers at this moment, so I had to change it Netgear's comparable.

My first 64'er. Acer Aspire 5024 WLMi with:

AMD Turion ML34 (1.8GHz) 64-mobile processor

15.4 WXGA CrystalBrite 1280*800

128MB ATI X700

1024MB DDR memory

80GB HDD

DVD Dual double layer

6-in-1 card reader

My use experiences. This is to enough powerful even to play the newer games. For example the preparation of the video seems fluent even double on speed, as compared with 32 bit. I have surprised positively from the battery long operating time. But it takes little time to accustom reflection to the display. When I play movies, games or show photos, I connect this laptop to Panasonic TH-42PX70 Plasma television, then the picture quality is almost perfect.
