Ikimba Tukufu "Nando" passed the official temperament test with good results. This seemingly soft dog has all the qualities that a ridgeback should have. High but controlled defence action without post-attack aggressiveness. His temperament is moderate which makes him a great dog to work with. He also has a tendence to reserved behaviour - just as they should be - without being shy or aggressive. 

Here are the detailed test results of Nando:

Measures the dog's ability to react correctly - without fear - to real and imagined frightening situations without interrupting it's action.

Dog's inherited calmness, nervousness, or restlessness, in a highly stressing situation. Dog's reactions to shooting (at leat two shots are fired with a 9 mm gun).
TEMPERAMENT +2 - Moderate
Temperament is understood as the ability to react fast and organized to changing environmental situations. Also the dog's ability to quickly accommodate itself to rapidly changing situations.
MENTAL HARDNESS +1 - Tendency to softness
Dog's mental hardness: How strongly the dog allows unpleasant surprises to affect his functions. How well a dog remembers unpleasant situations and how reluctant he is to face the same circumstances later on.

Sinin ja Jazin yhteistulos oli 6,15. Onneksi olkoon Teemu ja Sini!

Jazin joukkuekisan tulos oli upeasti 0-tulos. Joukkueen muista kisaavista ja joukkueen sijoituksesta minulla ei tässä vaiheessa vielä ole tietoa.

Ikimba Tukufu "Nando" competed in OPEN class blood spoor and he did great getting 47 points out of 50 possible OPEN-1 result. Nando was very sure and swift and let Noora swet for this price :-) in the hot summer day. Nando worked out the whole spoor in 16 minutes (45 minutes max). Congratulations to owner/handler Noora Husu for this wonderful result with Nando.

Nando jäljesti ekan kerran MEJÄ-AVO-luokassa tuloksena 47 pistettä 50 mahdollisesta - tuloksena AVO1. Nando oli nopea ja tarkka jäljellä ja suoritti jäljen 16 minuutissa (45 minuuttia max). Yleisvaikutelma täydet 5 pistettä. HIENO SUORITUS omistaja/ohjaaja Noora Husu ja Nando!

11 YEARS OLD Ikimba Nefertiti "Elsa" participated also in this blood spoor trial with her owner/handler Heidi Kaatiala and Elsa did a great job in these hot summer conditions - working out the spoor in 17 minutes. At the end of the spoor Elsa made a miss (when she found a fresh spoor) and got -11 points. Total points 39 out of 50 max and OPEN-2 result. Great result for such an old lady (Elsa) ;-).

Vanha lady Elsa (11 v) oli ensimmäistä kertaa AVO-jäljellä ja suoritti jäljen loistavasti. Ikävä kyllä toiselta makaukselta tuli hukka kun Elsa lähti tuoreen riistanjäljen perään. Hukasta -11 pistettä ja lopputulos siis 39 pistettä 50 mahdollisesta. Elsa viipyi jäljellä vaivaiset 17 minuuttia, joten Heidi sai myös hikoilla. Onneksi olkoon Heidi Kaatiala ja Elsa! Upea suoritus vaikeissa olosuhteissa näin iäkkäältä koiralta!

Aslan has also 2 CERTs under his belt - only one to go for Obedience LP1 and FIN CH!  I could not have found a better home for this male. 22.2. AUST CH Zimbalooba Empire Rose "Big Tuli" has left us at the age of 13,5 years. She was the matriarch of the Zimbalooba clan and a tutor for little Matilda before she came to Finland.

Ikimba Tazamio "Mio" owner/handler Ilona Koski have made some great reasults and today they managed the trial with time 44.14 (ideal time 57 sec), 4th place. This result entitles Mio & Ilona to compete in Agility Maxi Class 2! WOW!

29.1. Ikimba Peponi "Frodo" 17.2.1999 - 29.1.2008
Frodo's life came to its end after so many years of medication. Frodo was on daily medication from around 1 year and up. I am happy that he had thoughtful owners who took care of him and gave him a good life despite his allergies. Frodo got 9 years of a great life. Thank you Mikko and Sanna!

Frodon aika oli lähteä paremmille metsästysmaille. Frodo oli kovin allerginen - ja joutuikin suurimman osan aikaa elämästään olemaan lääkityksellä. Hyvästä hoidosta johtuen Frodo sai kokea ja olla mukana monessa kaikki nämä 9 vuotta. Munuaiset pettivät kuitenkin todennäköisesti pitkän lääkitysten johdosta ja Frodon matka hiipui parin viimeisen päivän sisällä voimakkaasti. Kiitos Mikko ja Sanna, että annoitte Frodolle hyvä elämän.

Nadra lived a healthy and energic life up to the very end. Unfortunately a nasty cancer in Nadra's intestines took Nadra's life in just a few days.

Nadra eli täysillä ja terveenä elämänsä 10,5-vuotisen elämänsä. Sisäelimien kasvaimet veivät Nadran kuitenkin todella huonoon kuntoon vain muutaman päivän sisällä ja Suvi teki oikean päätöksen ja päästi ystävänsä kivuistaan . Syvä osanottoni Suvi - olit todellakin "riskin" arvoinen (sisäpiirin juttu :-).
