Sheriff Truart has begun his personal vendetta against the City's crime element and I'm on the top of his Most Wanted list. Jobs have been scarce - although most of the fences would gladly offer me any jobs they have, the fact is that there aren't all that many of them around anymore. What comes to my thefts, I've been clutching at straws lately. Luckily one of my sources has dropped me a very... lucrative hint. After this job I can keep a low profile for a while. I've never been much in to organised crime. I'm in this trade to profit myself, and the idea of funding some lazy godfather figure pulling the strings in the shadows doesn't really seem all that intriguing, something that my old friend Ramirez had to learn the hard way. But, as they say, there's no honor among thieves... A local group of criminals, calling themselves the Redblade Smugglers' Guild, are well established with overseas smuggling and piracy. They operate a legit-looking shipping company as a front, located in the Docks district. What has caught my interest is the rumor about some very valuable cargo they've stashed away in their warehouse. What this cargo exactly is my contact couldn't say, but it's bound to be the one under the most strict guard. Well, whatever it'll turn out to be, I doubt the smugglers will miss it. Much. It's always bit risky to meddle with affairs of other underground enterpreneurs, especially since the Redblades are under the protection of Webster, a local warden. But with profits akin to this, I'm more than willing to take the risk. Besides, it's always a good idea to remind the wardens and their underlings who's the best in the trade. Heh, actually by disturbing the Redblade's operations I'm doing a favor for Truart. He should give me a medal for this...

Game: Thief 2: The Metal Age Version: 1.0 Size: Medium Requirements: DarkLoader or GarrettLoader, your choice. Saints and Thieves began as mission for Komag's fourth Small Fan Mission Contest, although I never did finish the level. However, it did inspire me to start building this FM - and, in fact, S&T is really nothing but enlarged make of the C4 version of the map. If you peer closely at the few images of the old, small version in Dromed Showcase, you should indeed notice close resemblande between the screenshots here and the ones there. As for the mission - after two years, it's finally done! Despite hitting pretty much every error and limit Dromed can throw at you, I managed to finally get this thing done. Much thanks go to these people - without them, I may not have finished this! Textures: Vigil, Undule, Majic Objects and AI models/skins: Eshaktaar, Vigil, DarkDragon, Nameless Voice, R Soul, Schwaa and Targa Ambients: B Stoate, Curunir Voice Talent: DarkArrow, dlw6, John D, Slyfoxx, TheNightTerror, Uncadonego Beta testers: Daveh, Digital Nightfall, Lesserfollies, Morte, Notaction, Slyfoxx, Vigil Thanks go to Seeker for drawing the city area maps and Notaction for audio touch-ups. Also special thanks go to #thief and #dromed people, who inspired, suggested and helped me when I was flailing my arms around helpless - in particular Eshaktaar, R Soul, TF, Tumbleweed and Vigil for trying to figure out what mystical curse had struck my Dromed this time. Thanks go to the fine folk at Editors' Guild for helping me when I was in need, too. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
