The plane was shot down by AA-fire and
Messerschmitt Bf 109. The plane was from unit that attacked towards to
Kirkenes.
German "Flak" shot several hits to the plane.
Il-2 started to curve to homebase.The Pilot of Messerschmitt Bf 109
noticed the Il-2 and shot it finally down. Both russians survived the
crashlanding, but lost their conscious for a while. When they became conscious
they were taken as POW.

Kone kuului muodostelmaan, joka
hyökkäsi Kirkenesiä vastaan. Saksalainen ilmatorjunta sai koneeseen osumia.
Lentäjä kaartoi koneella
kotikenttäänsä kohti, mutta ilmassa ollut Messerschmitt Bf 109 ampui koneen
lopulta ketoon.
Kumpikin venäläinen selvisi
rytäkästä hengissä menettäen kylläkin tajuntansa. Tullessaan tajuihin he
olivatkin sitten
saksalaisten toimesta vangitut.
