We have begun "friendship-dog" activity in January 2005. Viivi, Noora, Juulia, Nelli and Rita were tested and accepted as "friendship" dogs. These dogs can visit old people, kindergardens, shcools and bring some joy, new experiences and change to the lives of the people who can't have a dog for one reason or other. It is based on a long-term relationship and trust. These dogs are not therapy dogs and they can be identified of a yellow scarf when they are at work. This acitivity is also based on voluntarity so it doesn't cost anything.

We go to visit some children who can't have a dog of their own. The children play with the dogs, go out with them and so on. Especially Rita is enjoying very much these visits.

Noora, Juulia, Nelli and Rita got medals (numbers 80-83) and diplomas from The Finnish Kennelclub 22th April 2006 for their activity in Lahti International Dog Show. They are the first shetland sheepdogs that have got that award in Finland. Juulia and Nelli had to stay at home because of the puppies, Noora and Rita are in the pictures with their brand new orange scarfs.
